Joel David Lesses is a poet and listener, writer and counselor who lives, works, and plays in the Western New York area. Joel was raised by a Jewish father and Irish Catholic mother, and found his way with American Zen Buddhism, the practice including Zazen and everyday efforts toward kindness. He works as a coordinator for individuals with traumatic brain injuries, serves on the Board of Directors for the Erie County Mental Health Association, has created podcast entitled Unraveling Religion on Thinktwice Radio, and has recently completed a work of poetry and letters entitled Odyssey of Autumn's Breath. He resides in Snyder, New York with his fiancee, two dogs, and loving cat, Mia.
